What is a Registered Design?

Let's ask  the ' experts'  - The UK Patent Office state - quote, 'Design is all about the way an object looks: its shape, its visual appeal....it's all in the design...'

Protection and Using other peoples designs.

Once registered a design has protection for up to 25 years - if you consider the design wrongly registered there are procedures to Object to registered designs - no challenge has ever been mounted against the registered designs featured on this site. Using other peoples designs - the UK Patent Office states - quote: 'Design registration gives the owner a monopoly on their product design and is additional to any design right or copyright protection that may exist automatically in the design.  The owner can grant others permission (licence ) to use their design.'

Licences.

No licences have been granted by the owner of the Intellectual Property to any authority to reproduce the designs. The UK authorities, The European Commission have abused the laws of Intellectual Property, encouraged mass piracy of the registered designs by major vehicle registration plate manufacturers.

Pirated Goods.

There are no licences in force allowing the display of the Eurosymbol and GB on vehicles - all those registration plates bearing such a symbol are pirated goods.
